Private fee-for-service (PFFS) plans generally operate without a provider network, allowing you to receive service from any health care provider who agrees to treat you and accepts your plan's payment terms. PFFS plans are a type of Medicare Advantage plan, so they give you the same coverage as Original Medicare with Medicare Part A and Part B. This means you have coverage for inpatient hospital care in a hospital or skilled nursing facility, hospice care, home health care, preventive care, and medically necessary care. For your PFFS plan, you will pay premiums, an annual deductible, copayments and coinsurance. These costs will vary between plans and will be based on accepted fair costs for covered services. You must also continue to pay your monthly Medicare Part A and Part B premiums while in a PFFS plan.<\/p>
