But Medicare has provided a few options to ease this requirement, and one of them is that you are currently married, for at least one year, and your spouse is eligible for Social Security benefits. Thus, you can apply for Medicare by calling the Social Security number in your area or on their website: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ssa.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.ssa.gov<\/a>. There is an online option to apply for Medicare using your spouse's credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other option is that you have been married for at least ten years, and this person is also eligible for Medicare benefits. So you can apply for Medicare using this person's credits.
