Together, these two parts of Medicare will allow you to visit any doctor or hospital nationwide that accepts Medicare and will work much like an 80-20 plan, where after the annual Part A and B deductibles are met, Medicare will cover the 80% of the bill for these doctor and hospital services and you must cover the 20% as insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More generally, Medicare will cover anything deemed medically necessary. This means that it will not cover cosmetic surgeries and will only cover chiropractic or dental care under certain very limited circumstances. While Original Medicare will cover much of your hospital and medical needs, it still has many gaps in coverage that you are responsible for in terms of co-payments, deductibles and insurance. Because of this, many people opt to purchase a Medigap plan or a low-cost Medicare supplement plan to help cover that 20% that Medicare does not cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another thing to keep in mind is that Original Medicare also does not include prescription drug coverage, which means that you will have to purchase a separate prescription drug plan, which is the same as Medicare's prescription drug coverage. <strong>Part D<\/strong> The Medicare program that was introduced in the Medicare program in 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, one of the most common myths is that Original Medicare is free, but unfortunately, this is not true. Most people qualify for premium-free Medicare Part A after they have worked and paid their Social Security taxes for a ten-year period, which equals 40 quarters. However, Part B has a monthly premium, which this year is $164.90.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to know that once you know you qualify for Medicare and your eligibility date or 65th birthday approaches, you should prepare for enrollment and transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are an agency specialized in Medicare and we are always ready to help you with all these processes related to Medicare.
